With weddings still a few weeks away, we’ve been spending as much time possible photographing our own lives and family.  Here are a few of our recent favorites of our son, Eastwood.

This past week, we decided to make an addition to our lineup at Cluney Photo. We’re going to begin shooting Family Photos in addition to Weddings, Engagements, and Seniors! This includes maternity and newborn sessions. We’ve decided to take this plunge into a new genre in addition to what we normally do because of the joy we’ve gotten from photographing our own family over the past year. We want to approach these new additions in the same way that we approach our other work…in a less posed, more lifestyle-based way. Our favorite photos of our own family are the ones we’ve taken in mundane, passing moments. We feel like they best tell of who we are as a family and what our life was like when the photos were taken. So, if you’re interested in something different than traditional & posed family portraits, we’d love to talk! Over the next few months, you’ll see some changes to our Portrait Portfolio, as we begin phasing out our fashion work and adding this new work. While we build our family portfolio, we’d love to show you what we’re envisioning for your family photos by sharing some of photos from our own family over the past year.

One of the things that bothers us about the current state of photography is how seldom photos are printed these days. 99% of what we shoot stays on a disc or a hard drive and never becomes a tangible product. This year we’ve set our minds to change that.

We’re currently in the process of rebranding, and we’re placing a greater value on the printed. There’s just something different about looking at a photograph that isn’t on a computer screen. So, whether you’re booking us as your wedding photographer or for a lifestyle family portrait session, many of our packages will now include prints, albums, coffee table books, etc.

Our son, Eastwood, recently turned one year old. We went through all of our favorite photos of him from the past year and made them into a book. We’re now offering these coffee table books to our clients. They are an incredible (and less expensive) alternative to wedding albums! They have beautiful linen covers and are extremely customizable.
